The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films, widely known as ShortFest, is an annual celebration of short films held in Palm Springs, California. Established in 1995 as an extension of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, ShortFest has grown into one of the largest and most prestigious short film festivals in the United States.
Each June, the festival showcases over 350 short films from more than 60 countries, offering a dynamic and diverse selection of genres and styles. Complementing the screenings, the festival hosts a Short Film Market, presenting more than 3,000 new short films for industry buyers, distributors, and festival programmers.
ShortFest also features a three-day ShortFest Forum, where filmmakers and industry professionals participate in seminars, masterclasses, panels, and roundtable discussions.
